Popular Diets That Weren’t Meant for Weight Loss

Most popular “diets” were NOT meant to be used for weight loss…

  • 𝗞𝗲𝘁𝗼 - Treatment for Epilepsy

  • 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Religious Reasons / Help Regulate Circadian Rhythm

  • 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝟯𝟬 / 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁 - Identify Inflammatory Foods

  • 𝗚𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 - Celiac Disease

  • 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 - Dairy Allergy

  • 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 - Avoid Harming Animals

  • 𝗙𝗢𝗗𝗠𝗔𝗣 - For IBS Patients

  • 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁 - The way people eat in the Mediterranean

…That’s just to name a few. You get the point.

Some diets were created for good, science-backed reasons, and somewhere along the way our friggin weight-loss-obsessed society decided to manipulate them into something they’re not = a quick weight loss plan.

The next time you think about beginning your next “diet,” I’d like you to stop and think about how “well” the last one went… and what happened afterwards. Did your “results” stick, or did they dissipate within 1 year or 5. Did it do more harm than good? Why are you doing this to yourself time and time again?

The best thing me and my clients ever did was going back to the basics: learning nutrition fundamentals and how to listen and interpret your own body’s INTERNAL cues, rather than external “cues” given to you by someone or something that doesn’t know anything about your body.

Did you know the above diets were meant for those reasons? Would love to hear your thoughts!

If you’re looking for a safe space where you can learn how to let go of dieting for good, enjoy food without guilt, and turn exercise into something you love to do rather than something you “have” to do, submit a client application to get in contact with me! I work with clients virtually all over the world helping those who are frustrated with dieting and want to change their relationship with food and themselves.
