Trade “All or Nothing” for “Better Than Nothing”

It doesn't have to be perfect.

In fact, it won't ever be perfect.

That "all or nothing" mentality will keep you from trying new things because you don't think you can do it perfectly. The minute something goes "not according to plan" you'll stop. The minute something gets hard, you'll stop.

But what if, you traded "all or nothing" for "better than nothing" or “PROGRESS over perfection?”

Let’s be honest…

You're going to over-indulge sometimes.

You're going to feel physically ill after you eat/drink sometimes.

You're going to miss workout days.

You're going to sit on the coach and do nothing all day sometimes.

These things are going to happen, and you know what?

That’s just it. It happened.

That doesn’t mean you throw in the towel.

That doesn’t mean you messed it all up.

That doesn’t mean you have to start all over.

That doesn’t mean you have to overthink what happened.

That doesn’t mean you have to criticize yourself.

You just keep going.

Nothing in life is linear.

Expect the waves will come.

Ride the waves. Heck, have fun on the waves.

Accept the waves as part of the journey and the journey will be easier.

Instead of thinking you have to “start all over” next time. What would happen if you just… moved on?
