Hot Dark Chocolate

I LOVE hot chocolate, but the yummy ones are always either 1) filled with ingredients I don’t want to consume (and/or contain dairy) 2) esssspensive.

So I made my own that is sweetened with maple syrup and contains the good stuff like antioxidants (raw cacao [different than cocoa] & cinnamon) and adaptogens (maca). Sometimes I’ll even add protein (unflavored collagen peptides [doesn’t change the taste and makes it thicker]).

B E G I N W I T H

  • 1/4 Cup Hot Water

W H I S K T O G E T H E R

  • 3 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder

  • 1-3 tsp Maple Syrup (for a bolder flavor, do 1, for a sweeter flavor, do 3)

  • 1-2 Scoops Collagen Peptides (optional)

  • 1 tsp Maca Powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • Dash of Cinnamon

  • Pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

T H E N F I L L U P W I T H

  • Warm Frothed Milk (frothing the milk makes it much creamier and more enjoyable but is totally optional)

Simple enough!
