Diets Don’t Work

95% of people who lose weight by dieting will regain it in 1 to 5 years. 2/3rds of those people will regain more weight than they lost.

The U.S. weight loss market is worth $72 BILLION dollars for a reason… They’re profiting off of your insecurities.

The next time you think about going on ANOTHER diet, think about all the other ones you’ve tried and why they didn’t work. Think about how they left you feeling. It’s not that you don’t have “willpower” or “motivation.” You’re not a failure. It didn’t work because restrictive diets actually DON’T work.

Not only have they been found to not work, but over the long term, they’ve been found to have many negative effects on your mental and physical health. There are nutritional and psychological costs of going in and out of diets. It’s stressful and you're constantly battling yourself.

Instead of dieting, why not changing your relationship with food instead?

  • Learn to trust your body, not restrict.

  • Honor your hunger.

  • Respect your fullness.

  • Be mindful of how certain foods make you feel.

These are just a few of the things I teach my clients.

Learning to listen to my body - what feels good to me and what doesn’t - is the best gift I have ever given myself and teaching my clients how to listen to their bodies is the best gift I have ever given to them.
