The Fitness Timeline: What to Expect As You Start Your Fitness Journey
pst.. today’s post includes a printable PDF
Most people think starting a fitness routine should feel motivating… exciting…
And for a few days, it does.
Then the soreness hits.
Motivation is nowhere to be found.
Results feel slow.
Life stuff happens.
They start to question themselves.. the process..
That moment is where most people quit.
I’ve seen it happen time and time again.
It even used to happen to me.
Until I learned something.
If I could come to expect the ebbs and flows.
If I could expect the obstacles and the “I don’t wanna” days.
I could
1) normalize the experience (because yes, this happens to everyone, it’s not just you).
2) prepare for them
Once I started doing that, everything changed.
I became much more consistent and finally started hitting my fitness goals.
That’s why I created:
THE FITNESS TIMELINE: What to Expect As You Start Your Fitness Journey.
In the podcast episode, I’ll walk you through the timeline week by week.
We talk about:
Why motivation naturally fades over time (and why that’s normal)
What soreness, plateaus, and resistance actually mean
Why results often show up after people give up
The most common quitting point, and how to get through it
How fitness slowly shifts from “something you do” to “who you are”
+ more.
If you’ve ever thought:
“Why is this harder than I expected?” or “Shouldn’t I be further along by now?”
This episode will give you context, reassurance, and a much bigger picture.
Progress isn’t always about pushing harder.
It’s about understanding the phase you’re in, and staying long enough within it to reach the next one.
