Rituals That’ll Improve Your Mornings

Morning Self Care Routines to Choose From

I used to wake up with a lot of anxiety, and I can pretty confidently say after adopting a nighttime and morning routine, I get a lot less anxious in the morning.

No matter what happens in my day, I know one thing for certain, the morning is mine...and it's yours as well. It's not controlled by anyone else, but you. After that, you might have kids, partners, bosses, friends wanting some of your time.

Take care of YOURSELF first. Fill YOUR cup up.

I don't necessarily have a SET routine. I find that being SO structured sometimes causes unnecessary stress. I also think there's beauty in learning to listen and interpret what you need most in the morning. So, I always give myself 30-60 min, and within that time, I can choose one (or a few) things that I know makes ME happy.

Here are some practices that I keep in my toolbox.

I suggest you make your own list and keep them in the back of your mind!

  • Dry Brush

  • Lymphatic Body Tool

  • Exercise

  • Stretch

  • Journal

  • Background Music

  • Dance

  • Breathwork

  • Walk Outside

  • Yoga

  • Fresh Cooked Breakfast

  • Coffee & Read Outside

  • Snooze

  • Gua Sha

  • Do Hair/Make-Up

  • Meditation
