If You Fear Missing a Workout, Miss a Workout.

Unpopular Opinion:

...If you FEAR not working out one day.

...If you FEAR eating the bag of chips.

Do it.

That might sound a little crazy.

I'm telling you to not workout… to eat a bag of chips.

Here's why:

I don't believe in fear driving your choices.

Fear becomes obsessive.

Fear becomes restrictive.

This is also why I don't really love "streak mentality," it feels fear driven most times.

When you do things, IN SPITE OF fear, you'll learn that doing that thing, wasn't a big deal.

Missing one workout, isn't going to set you back.

Eating one bag of chips, isn't going to set you back.

The beauty lies in being able to do that thing, and move on with your life.

If the fear is you'll lose control... aka:

"If I skip one workout, I'll skip three."

"If I eat on bag of chips, I'll eat three."

Then you might want to revisit your relationships with these things.

You should be working out because you know it’s good for your health and you feel good afterwards.

You should be eating nutritious foods because you know it’s good for your health and you enjoy the way they taste.

"Loss of control," generally comes from a restriction to begin with. You can't lose control of something you never were trying to "control" in the first place.

Knowledge OVER fear, always.
