This is why your relationship with food and exercise isn’t working.

A life that involves food and movement is better than a life that revolves around food and moment.

There’s a BIG difference between incorporating moving and eating well into your life, and making it your life.

One is going to help you, and one is going to hurt you.

Contrary to what most fitness professionals would have you believe, you don’t need to obsess about exercise and nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I, personally, actually don’t even WANT you to be thinking about it all the time. That’s the thing, I want you to eventually not have to think about it at ALL.

Here’s what REVOLVING looks like:

  • Taking the mental/emotional time to count calories.

  • Taking time out of your meal to input food into MyFitnessPal.

  • Hopping on the scale to determine whether you’ll be happy or sad that day.

  • Not going to certain restaurants out of a fear of not finding “healthy food.”

  • Not going to a last minute made plan because you can’t skip the gym.

  • Not having a pie your grandma made you because you’re scared of the sugar.

That’s letting nutrition and fitness run your life.

They’re not working with you, they’re actually working against you.

Here’s what INVOLVING looks like:

Here are some simple tips you can work on NOW to reframe your relationship:

  • Incorporate more vegetables into your meals (in ways you think taste good).

  • Drink more water throughout the day.

  • Do workouts that you enjoy and make you feel good.

  • Encourage social gatherings around outdoor activities and things like hikes, sports, picnics, beach days.

  • Get up from your desk every so often to move around, stare outside your window for a little.

  • Understand that skipping a day at the gym won’t make you “lose your progress.”

  • Learn when your body is hungry and full to guide you.

Those are just a few of the ways my clients start to shift their focus and heal their relationship with exercise, food, and themselves.

Try 1 or 2 out for a week and see how you feel!

If you’re looking to feel more confident in your body, learn how to let go of dieting for good to enjoy food without guilt, and turn exercise into something you love to do rather than something you “have” to do, submit a client application to get in contact with me! I work with clients virtually all over the world helping those who are frustrated with dieting and want to change their relationship with food, exercise and themselves.
