Do You Appreciate What Your Body Does For You?

When is the last time you were sick and couldn’t breath out of your nostrils and thought, “I can’t wait to breath normally again, I appreciate breathing well so much more now.”

I was sick a few weekends ago (not COVID, tested negative multiple times) and I had that moment. I can’t wait until I can breath normally again. I can’t wait until I can feel strong again. I can’t wait until I have my appetite back. I can’t wait…

…and in that moment, as I was blowing my nose for the millionth time and I had a slight fever and I felt weak, I gave myself a hug and I told myself, “Thank you for doing the work. Thank you for all that you’re doing in there to save me.”

The next day I started to feel better and I took myself out for a walk and my body couldn’t help but put a smile on my face.

The next day I felt almost 100% and I held myself in bed and was so thankful. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for doing the work. Thank you for defending me. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you for all the things you do for me. I love you. I love you so much and I am so grateful for you.”

This is why I eat the way I do.

This is why I exercise.

This is why I get enough sleep.

This is why I mediate.

Because this is self care.

Because I love my body.

Because I want to help my body to protect myself.

Because I want to help my body live long and happy.

Because I want to experience this life well and full.

Because I love myself.

Can I get a 🤗 in the comments if you do these things because you love yourself?
